PHILADELPHIA -- May 29, 2002 - ACE INA Holdings, Inc., a member of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced the promotion of Trish Henry to senior vice president of ACE INA Government Affairs. Ms. Henry will be responsible for maintaining relationships with local, state, U.S. federal and international government officials. In addition, she will oversee management of the ACE INA Foundation.
"This appointment was made in recognition of Trish's accomplishments and leadership capabilities," said Dominic Frederico, chairman and chief executive officer of ACE INA. "With her depth of industry knowledge and strong insurance litigation background, Trish will be instrumental in continuing to foster relationships with key government representatives and associations in the insurance industry."
Since October 2000, Ms. Henry served as vice president, Asbestos Issues Management of ACE USA's Brandywine Holdings Division. An expert in asbestos litigation issues, she was responsible for ACE USA's overall asbestos strategy. Ms. Henry joined ACE USA in 1992 as director of Issues Management in its Long Term Exposure Litigation area, and in 1997 was named vice president.
Ms. Henry began her legal career as an associate with White and Williams in Philadelphia, specializing in environmental and long term exposure coverage litigation.
Ms. Henry holds a bachelor of arts degree in government from the College of William & Mary and a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law. She is a member of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel (FICC) and serves as vice-chair of its Toxic Tort and Environmental Law section. She also serves as vice-chair of the Coalition for Asbestos Justice, an organization formed by property and casualty companies to address the asbestos claims situation.
