PHILADELPHIA - June 20, 2002 - ACE INA Holdings, Inc., a member of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced the appointment of John W. Herbkersman to senior vice president of ACE INA Communications. Based in Philadelphia, Herbkersman will have overall responsibility for all aspects of internal and external communications, including marketing communications for ACE INA.

Herbkersman brings to ACE INA more than 22 years of experience in all aspects of corporate communications. Since 2000, he has served as vice president of Global Communications for GE Capital's largest business unit, Global Consumer Finance. He joined GE Capital Retailer Financial Services in 1994 as manager, Communications. Additionally, he held various corporate communications management and editorial positions with Life Technologies, Inc., Marriott Corporation and PRACON Inc.
Herbkersman holds a bachelor of arts degree from Kent State University.
