ESIS Announces Formation of New Audit Practice;
Paul Esposito Appointed to Lead Innovative Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment Process

PHILADELPHIA – October 10, 2007 – ESIS, Inc., (“ESIS®”) the risk management services business of ACE USA, today announced the creation of the ESIS Global Risk Control Services Audit Practice, which will focus on developing and implementing assessments for Fortune 500 and local companies throughout the U.S. preparing for third party certifications, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP); the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and, the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS). In addition, Paul Esposito, Vice President, has been named to lead this new practice, which includes a team of health, safety and environmental management specialists.

The Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) established through the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was designed to help promote effective worksite-based safety and health. Through the OSHA VPP, an organization’s management team, workers and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. A VPP approval provides OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved occupational safety and health at the highest level. ESIS’ Global Risk Control Services Audit Practice uses quantitative assessment processes that can more clearly demonstrate a company’s strengths and weaknesses relative to a variety of standards and guidelines. In turn, clients can use ESIS’ assessments to help formulate action plans and priorities.

“We’re pleased to welcome Paul to the ESIS team. He brings to ESIS and our clients a rich background in health, safety, industrial hygiene and environmental risk consulting,” said John Ingram, Vice President of ESIS Global Risk Control Services. “Expanding our capabilities provides even greater value for our clients preparing for management systems evaluations and allows us to further enhance ESIS’ holistic approach to risk assessment.”

Prior to his tenure with ESIS, Mr. Esposito served as President and a Principal with STAR Consultants, Inc. With a career spanning more than 28 years of experience in the health and safety field, and a noted author on this subject, Mr. Esposito has long been a leader in incident investigation, job hazard analysis, inspection programs and management systems. His previous professional experience includes serving in senior leadership capacities in developing corporate safety and health programs for several Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, including the U.S. Navy, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and NASA. Previously serving as a past Chair of the American Industry Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Management Committee, Mr. Esposito participated in the production of an Industrial Hygiene Program Performance Metric Manual for publication by AIHA. In addition to program development and measurement, Mr. Esposito has audited more than 350 facilities and operations and has performed more than 1,000 facility inspections.

Mr. Esposito holds the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Professional Environmental Auditor – Safety & Health (CPEA) professional designations.
