At ACE, managing risk is our business. As such, emergency preparedness and business continuity planning are important fixtures across our organization.
With the onset of seasonal flu and presence of H1N1 flu across the U.S., ACE has prepared the summary below outlining our comprehensive emergency preparedness plan. Our goal is to ensure continuation of our business processes and provide our brokers, customers and insureds with the best possible service during a variety of emergency situations, including an influenza pandemic.
· Although our plan seeks to be comprehensive and spans the ACE organization, special attention has been placed on the most critical client functions to minimize any adverse impact to our customers which may result from an emergency. These functions include underwriting, claims, litigation management, and financial transactions processing services.
· ACE has an established corporate emergency response team in place supported by emergency work groups, coordinators and designated back-ups at each ACE office location. This network is responsible for coordinating and implementing our business continuity and recovery plans, as necessary.
· In the event that office closures are necessary, ACE has plans and arrangements to move critical business processes to temporary, alternate work recovery locations.
· These established back-up work flow protocols and associated technology have been tested through regular employee training exercises and scenarios.
Emergencies are unpredictable and ACE’s preparedness plans continue to evolve. Please check back often for important updates and information.
