PHILADELPHIA, April 12, 2002 - ACE USA Professional Risk is pleased to announce that it is entering the medical professional liability market on a selected basis. This newly formed medical professional liability division -- ACE Medical Risk -- will be led by senior vice president, Ross Bertossi. In addition to Mr. Bertossi, ACE USA is pleased to announce the appointments of Caroline James to vice president and Annick Ducasse to assistant vice president. The ACE Medical Risk team will be based in New York City and will develop risk management solutions for the medical professional marketplace.
Prior to joining ACE USA, Mr. Bertossi was a senior vice president with CNA HealthPro, where his responsibilities included overseeing the nationwide operations of the Open Brokerage Medical Malpractice Group. This included hospitals, physicians, miscellaneous medical facilities and product liability for advanced medical technology. Mr. Bertossi is a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Mr. Bertossi also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) professional designation.
