PHILADELPHIA – January 4, 2006 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced that it has opened a branch office in Morristown, N.J., which will serve the northern New Jersey area. In addition, Andrew Hurley has been appointed New Jersey Branch Manager and will lead the new office. Mr. Hurley will work closely with brokers and clients in northern New Jersey to cultivate relationships and expand ACE USA’s local presence. He also will oversee the branch’s production plan, distribution, product sales, marketing and general operations, and will be responsible for the overall operating results of the branch.

Mr. Hurley has more than 15 years of industry experience, primarily in commercial lines. He joins ACE USA from Chubb & Son, where he most recently was Practice Leader - Commercial Insurance Specialty for the New Jersey, New York and Northeast regions. His earlier experience includes various sales and underwriting positions for Chubb & Son and Chubb Services Corporation, and serving as a broker with Patriot Securities in New York. Mr. Hurley holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College.
