PHILADELPHIA – November 15, 2005 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced that it has opened a Charlotte branch office. Leading this new office is Rich Abraham, who has been named Charlotte Branch Manager. Mr. Abraham will work closely with brokers and clients in North Carolina and South Carolina to cultivate relationships and expand ACE USA’s local presence. He also will oversee the branch’s production plan, distribution, product sales and marketing, and general operations.

Rich has a very solid background in the insurance industry and a deep knowledge of local marketplace, making him well-suited to lead ACE USA’s growth in this important region.”
Mr. Abraham has 26 years of experience in the insurance industry in marketing, underwriting and management. Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Abraham spent six years as branch vice president of The PMA Insurance Group's Carolinas operation. Additional experience includes 19 years with The Hartford.
Mr. Abraham earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. He currently holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designations and is past-president of the Charlotte Chapter of the CPCU Society.
