APPOINTS BRUCE JERVIS TO LEAD RETAIL INLAND MARINE/BUILDER’S RISK UNIT
PHILADELPHIA – March 20, 2007 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced that it has expanded the scope of its products with a dedicated team of underwriters to serve the retail Inland Marine market. Additionally, Bruce Jervis has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Inland Marine, to lead a dedicated retail Inland Marine/Builder’s Risk practice, responsible for developing ACE USA’s retail inland marine strategy.
In his new role Mr. Jervis will report to Wolfgang Friedel, Executive Vice President, Property and Specialty Lines, ACE USA. “We are delighted that Bruce is joining ACE USA to lead this important new practice that will build on the existing portfolio of retail business and develop inland marine’s retail strategy,” said Mr. Friedel.
Prior to the creation of the new unit, ACE Westchester Specialty Group delivered Inland Marine products and capabilities to both the wholesale and retail market in North America. John Berger, Executive Vice President, Inland Marine, ACE Westchester Specialty Group, will continue to lead the wholesale Inland Marine practice.
With more than 14 years of insurance industry experience, Mr. Jervis most recently served as Vice President, Inland Marine, ACE Westchester Specialty Group. He began his insurance career with Fidelity & Deposit Company-- a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance--as an Inland Marine Underwriter. Mr. Jervis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY.
