PHILADELPHIA – March 2, 2006 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced that Tony Stevens has been named Branch Manager of its Tampa office. In this newly-created position, Mr. Stevens will work closely with insurance brokers and clients in the state of Florida to cultivate relationships and expand ACE USA’s local presence. He also will manage distribution, product sales and marketing, and producer relationships in the state.
“ACE USA has a considerable presence in Tampa, where our office currently comprises ACE’s recreational marine insurance and specialty consumer insurance groups, as well as a significant ESIS claims operation. As Branch Manager, Tony will lead our efforts to expand ACE’s visibility in the region, build our specialty offerings for the commercial insurance marketplace, and enhance customer service,” said Rob Huber, Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for ACE USA’s Southeast Region. “Tony’s solid background in the insurance industry and deep knowledge of the Florida marketplace will be invaluable as he assumes this important role in ACE USA’s Southeast Region.”
Mr. Stevens most recently served as Business Development Manager for ACE USA International & Specialty Group, where his responsibilities included sales and marketing, with an emphasis on Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. He has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry, including sales, underwriting and management positions with ACE USA, AIG, Metropolitan Property and Casualty, Old Dominion Insurance Company and The Travelers. Mr. Stevens earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, a master’s degree from Webster University of St. Louis and pursued an M.B.A. at Jacksonville University.
