PHILADELPHIA - June 3, 2004 - ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of The ACE Group of Companies, today announced the appointment of Thomas Guitian as Vice President, Marketing for ACE USA Accident & Health. ACE USA Accident & Health is committed to delivering a wide range of insurance products - from traditional accident and travel-related coverage for employers and citizens worldwide to specialty coverages for various types of groups and their members. These products provide greater financial stability in an ever-changing market, while helping to protect against the serious financial impact of a sudden injury or illness.
Based in Philadelphia, Mr. Guitian will have responsibility for business development and field operations. He will also focus on growing ACE USA Accident & Health's account and brokerage relationships in the United States and assist in the expansion of employee and employer distribution channels ranging from mid-sized to the Fortune 500 accounts.

Mr. Guitian most recently served as a National Sales Manager, for Chubb Corporation, where he oversaw the management of U.S. field operations for its accident & health division. Prior to that, he held a variety of underwriting, marketing and regional sales management positions in the Mid-Atlantic region for American International Group's (AIG) accident and health division, culminating with his appointment as the head of Field Operations.
