PHILADELPHIA – January 5, 2006 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced that Susan Burkhart has been named Assistant Vice President in ACE Risk Management®’s West Coast Construction Team. Based in San Francisco, Ms. Burkhart will be responsible for underwriting construction accounts for ACE Risk Management’s San Francisco and Los Angeles branches.

Ms. Burkhart joins ACE USA after an 18-year tenure with St. Paul Travelers Insurance. Most recently, she served as Senior Account Executive for its construction division, responsible for large casualty products in the Northern and Southern California territories. Earlier roles at St. Paul Travelers included various sales, underwriting and marketing positions. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation.
