PHILADELPHIA – June 21, 2007 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced the appointment of Norman Rafsol as Senior Vice President, Errors & Omissions (E&O), in its ACE Professional Risk Division. Based in New York City, Mr. Rafsol will oversee E&O underwriting operations, marketing and business development activities for all non-medical and non-financial institution-related professional liability products and services.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance arena, Mr. Rafsol joins ACE USA from American International Group (AIG) where he spent 18 years, holding a variety of claims and underwriting management positions of increasing responsibility, with a particular emphasis on professional liability product lines. He most recently held the position of Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty Professional Liability Division for AIG’s National Union Fire Insurance Company. Prior to his tenure with AIG, Mr. Rafsol served as a claims analyst with Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Rafsol earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Oswego.
