PHILADELPHIA – June 11, 2007 – ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced it has appointed Lou Capparelli to the position of Senior Vice President, Northeast Region for ACE Risk Management® (ARM). Based in Boston, Mr. Capparelli will oversee ARM branch operations in the Northeast Region, working with brokers in managing new business development and underwriting activities, and serving middle and large account commercial customers. Mr. Capparelli will report jointly to Ken Riegler, Executive Vice President and Operating Officer, ARM Commercial Accounts and Jay Lefkowitz, Executive Vice President and Operating Officer, ARM National Accounts.
“This appointment acknowledges Lou’s accomplishments and proven success in working with local brokers and clients to help them better understand ARM’s broad range of products and services,” said Mr. Lefkowitz.
Mr. Riegler added, “The Northeast Region represents a tremendous growth opportunity for ARM. Lou’s prior experience in serving both the middle market and large-risk arena makes him well-suited to support ARM’s continued growth in this market.”
Mr. Capparelli joined ACE USA in December 2002 as Business Development Manager for ACE Risk Management in its Boston Branch, responsible for new business production and broker relations in New England and upstate New York. With more than 17 years of experience in the insurance arena, Mr. Capparelli previously spent twelve years at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in a variety of sales, marketing and financial management positions. He began his career with JP Morgan & Company in New York City. Mr. Capparelli received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from The State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University Graduate School of Business in New York City. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designation.
