PHILADELPHIA - April 5, 2004 - ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operations of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced the appointment of Ken Riegler as Senior Vice President of national business development and client services for ACE Risk Management (ARM). Mr. Riegler will have overall responsibility for sales, marketing, broker management and product development for ACE Risk Management. Based in New York City, Mr. Riegler will report to William Curcio, President of ACE Risk Management.

Mr. Riegler most recently served as Senior Vice President, National Excess Workers Compensation for ARM. Prior to that position he was Senior Vice President for ARM's Pacific region and held the same position for ARM's Boston office. He joined ACE USA in 1999, after holding various management positions with Reliance Insurance Company's National Risk Management Division, New Jersey Manufacturers' Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance. Mr. Riegler holds bachelor of science from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., and an MBA from St. John's University in New York City.
