HAMILTON, Bermuda July 17, 2002 - ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE) today announced a restructuring of their Bermuda-based life reinsurance operations. Under the new structure, Ari Lindner will be responsible for life reinsurance operations of ACE Tempest in Bermuda. Mr. Lindner will report to Chris McKeown, CEO and President of ACE Tempest's Bermuda-based reinsurance operations. Mr. Lindner succeeds Mr. Kin Gee, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
Mr. Lindner, currently Vice President and Life Actuary, joined ACE in August 2000. A graduate of The Wharton School, Mr. Lindner is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Lindner served as vice president for AXA Re Life Insurance Company from 1998 - 2000 and as Assistant Actuary at Swiss Re Life and Health from 1995 - 1998. He also worked at Life Reassurance Corp. and Aetna.
