PHILADELPHIA - April 2, 2004 - ACE Risk Management (ARM), a division of ACE USA, today announced the appointment of Keith Mattheessen as Senior Vice President and Houston Branch Manager. Mr. Mattheessen will have overall responsibility for overseeing Houston branch operations, serving large account customers for ACE Risk Management. ACE Risk Management offers comprehensive risk management programs and services, which are uniquely designed and customized to assist companies in any industry deal with the significant costs of financing and managing risk.

With more than 20 years experience in the insurance industry and more than 18 years in managing overall risk management accounts, Mr. Mattheessen most recently served as Vice President, Regional Underwriting for ARM's Southwest region. He also held several account management and senior underwriting roles for ARM's Houston branch and Southwest region.
Mr. Mattheessen began his insurance career with Travelers Insurance Company in Houston, and held various roles with American International Group (AIG), also in Houston. Mr. Mattheessen holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Western Illinois University.
